Group: 2D Materials (2D)

Home Group: 2D Materials (2D)

The 2D Materials Technical Group organizes 7 oral sessions from Tuesday through Friday. A total of 15 renowned invited speakers in their fields will share recent progress in 2D-materials synthesis, properties, characterization, and applications. Tuesday’s morning and afternoon sessions focus on the synthesis and characterization of 2D materials and their heterostructures with a special focus on exploiting topological and quantum phenomena. Wednesday morning, we will explore modifications and new phenomena in 2D materials through doping, defects, and interfaces, while in the afternoon many body and quantum effects are forming the focus of the program. Atomic scale characterization using electron and scanning probe microscopy are on the program on Thursday morning, and Thursday afternoon, progress in the synthesis and characterization of novel topological and quantum phenomena in 2D materials are at the center. Finally, on Friday the potential for 2D materials in electronic device applications is being discussed.
